Getting a model to do something impressive once is a weekend. Getting it to do the same thing reliably, for every user, at a predictable cost, with a way to tell when it is wrong, is the actual product.

AI features live inside real software

An extraction pipeline is worthless without accounts, permissions, billing, exports, an audit trail and a mobile app that works offline on a job site. Teams that only know models build half a product.

Nobody wants to talk about evaluation

If you cannot measure whether the model got it right, you cannot improve it, price it, or defend it to a regulator. We build the evaluation harness first, because everything after depends on it.

    Shape the build

    We define the smallest version that is genuinely useful, identify the two or three technically risky assumptions, and prove or kill those first. This is where most of the money is saved.

  2. 02

    Build in two-week increments

    Working software at the end of every increment, deployed where you can use it. You see progress continuously and you can stop at any increment without being left with nothing.

  3. 03

    Harden

    Evaluation, load, cost ceilings, failure paths, permissions, and the boring security work. This is the phase most projects skip and every serious buyer asks about.

  4. 04

    Ship and hand over

    Production deployment, monitoring, documentation and a handover your team can act on. We transfer knowledge, not dependency — and we stay available if you want us to.

Engagement models

Every build starts with a paid shaping phase. Fixed-price quotes for undefined work are a fiction that ends badly for someone — usually you.

Questions about building

Who owns the code and the intellectual property?

You do, on final payment for each phase. Code lives in your repositories from day one, infrastructure runs in your cloud accounts, and there is no proprietary Nextia layer you have to keep licensing.

How long until we see something working?

Something running, usually within the first two-week increment. Something genuinely useful to real users, typically six to twelve weeks depending on scope. If a firm tells you three days, they are showing you a demo, not a product.

Do you build mobile apps, or just wrap a website?

Both, depending on what the product needs — and we will tell you which one you actually need. Our own bookkeeping product ships as native iOS and Android apps because receipt capture demands it. Our driving-school platform uses mobile web portals because installing an app was a barrier for its users.

Which AI models do you use?

Whichever fits the task, the budget and the data-residency constraint — and we design so that swapping is possible, because the frontier moves every few months. We will document exactly which providers see which data, in writing.

What about data residency and privacy?

We build Canadian-hosted by default, with PIPEDA and Québec Law 25 in mind, and we scope carefully what leaves your environment. Both of our own products run on Canadian infrastructure with tenant isolation and encryption at rest and in transit.

What happens after launch — are we stuck with you?

No. The handover is real: documented architecture, infrastructure as code, a working CI/CD pipeline and a session with your team. Some clients keep us on a retainer because they want to. None of them have to.
